Meet Fort Worth Oral Surgeon Dr. Yousef Hammad
Dr. Yousef Hammad, DMD, MD, is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care with a focus on safety, precision, and personalized treatment. He provides the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, bone and soft tissue grafting, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma reconstruction, pathology, and facial cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Hammad earned his dental degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago before obtaining his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through the Parkland Memorial Hospital and UT Southwestern Medical Center residency program, where he gained extensive experience managing complex facial injuries, jaw deformities, dental and facial infections, benign and malignant pathology, dentoalveolar surgery, and advanced reconstructive procedures.
Dr. Hammad’s clinical interests include dental implant rehabilitation, facial trauma surgery, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, and facial aesthetics. He remains committed to incorporating modern surgical techniques and evidence-based treatment approaches to achieve outstanding functional and aesthetic outcomes for his patients. He values building meaningful relationships with his patients, their families, and referring providers, and strives to ensure every patient feels informed, comfortable, and confident throughout their surgical experience.
Originally from Chicago, Dr. Hammad has called the DFW area home for the past six years. Outside of work, Dr. Hammad enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and being active in the local community.
Education and Experience
Dr. Yousef Hammad completed his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, magna cum laude with College Honors, at the University of Illinois at Chicago Honors College in 2016. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2020, followed by his medical degree (MD) from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 2023.
Dr. Hammad completed a General Surgery Internship as well as his Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Parkland Memorial Hognital/UT Southwestern Medical Center. He has contributed extensively to the field through peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and national presentations covering topics including odontogenic infections, orthognathic surgery, trigeminal nerve repair, and maxillofacial oncology.
Dr. Hammad is a current member of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS), the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Medical Association (AMA).
